2024 Honda Ridgeline Redesign, Price, Changes

2024 Honda Ridgeline Redesign, Price, ChangesAfter a comprehensive redesign of the Ridgeline in 2017, Honda has seen a significant increase in sales volume in the highly competitive midsize truck segment. 2024 Honda Ridgeline most lauded features are the basic crew cab, quiet ride, strong acceleration, and efficient engine. Nevertheless, its minivan-based architecture and a V6 with a limited towing capability haven’t won over many fans.

Exterior Design

There is a perception that the 2024 Honda Ridgeline exterior design is too soft compared to the more rugged-looking rivals, which has hampered sales. For the 2024 model year, Honda has made an effort in this direction, and the front fascia has been changed as a result. LED projector headlights and fog lights have been redesigned, as have the grille crossbars, which have been squared off to give the vehicle a more angular appearance.

Its LED taillights are complimented by dual exhaust outlets and a newly styled back bumper at the rear of this model. As part of the Honda Performance Division (HPD) package, the 18-inch wheels are coated in a bronzed finish, and the grille is given a unique design.

As far as dimensions and weights go, these vehicles are all very close to one other, making it difficult to tell them apart. However, the Chevy Colorado has a commanding visual style, while the Ford Ranger is more contemporary in appearance while still being aggressive. Compared to the Ridgeline, the Toyota Tacoma is more truck-like in appearance and boasts the highest ground clearance on the market.

Interior Design

Since Honda has nearly perfected it, there haven’t been many changes to the Ridgeline’s interior. The cabin’s construction and materials are high quality, and the seats are comfortable to sit in and easy to get in and out of. Seats for the 2024 model year have new stitching and an exceptional view from the driver’s seat.

Compared to other trucks, the backseat passengers in the Ridgeline will be a lot happier and more comfortable Ridgeline. As a result, even if the front legroom is limited, the ride is not unpleasant. More enormous rear doors can be opened in either a downward or sideways motion, 8-bed tie-down cleats, truck bed lighting, and a 400-watt truck-bed power outlet, all of which add to the vehicle’s functionality and usability.

Even with its 8-inch touchscreen, the Ridgeline isn’t much different from other Honda vehicles when it comes to its infotainment. The screen is bright and crisp, but it’s slow to respond. Additionally, the standard smartphone connectivity, HD and SiriusXM satellite radio, and Honda satellite navigation with voice command add value to the truck. This year’s version includes a physical volume knob.

2024 Honda Ridgeline Engine

The Ridgeline is powered by a 3.5-liter V6 engine paired to a 9-speed automatic transmission that drives all four wheels as standard. Honda does not provide any other powertrain options for the Ridgeline. Instead of a 4WD drivetrain, there is an AWD drivetrain available. The truck’s off-road capabilities are reduced, but its fuel efficiency is improved.

The engine’s 280 hp and 262 lb-ft of torque propel the truck from 0-60 mph in over seven seconds. Just over 1,580 lbs of payload capacity and just 5,000 lbs of towing capacity are available. The smooth, SUV-like driving dynamics of the Ridgeline are mainly due to its responsive motor. The truck does not feel underpowered on the highway, and it is more than capable.

The Chevrolet Colorado and Ford Ranger, both of which cost significantly less than the Ridgeline, are far superior in towing capacity and acceleration. Compared to the Ridgeline, the Toyota Tacoma has higher pulling power and is slightly less expensive. Only the Honda Ridgeline is available with an AWD drivetrain, whereas the other three use a 4WD system.

2024 Honda Ridgeline Price and Release Date

The Honda Ridgeline competes against vehicles like the Colorado, Ranger, Canyon, and Tacoma with a starting price of $37 665.
