2024 BMW X3 Redesign, Release Date, Review

2024 BMW X3 Redesign, Release Date, ReviewFor decades, BMW’s best-selling vehicle has been the 2024 BMW X3. While the X3’s exterior has undergone a facelift, the inside has undergone a mild revamp to align with the latest BMW models. The remainder of the specifications and features haven’t been altered at all. The X3 is a top-tier luxury crossover thanks to a long list of standard features, including advanced safety systems, high-tech features, and more.

Exterior Design

The refresh or life cycle impulse (what BMW refers to) has been applied to the 2024 BMW X3. The new LED headlights and redesigned front bumper are the first things you’ll notice upfront. BMW has given the headlights a dynamic 3D design, making them smaller and sleeker than the previous generation. Vents in the triangular front bumper are a single piece of aluminum. Active grille shutters are still present in the grille. The X3 has a ground clearance of 8 inches, which is adequate for traversing rugged terrain.

The side profile stays unchanged mainly in styling, but new 19-inch wheels are standard, with choices for larger 21-inch wheels. New 3D LED pincer claw taillights at the back and more effective trapezoidal exhaust chrome tips for a sportier look. The X3’s long shape makes it challenging to fit into compact spaces. The optional M Sport package includes Shadowline exterior styling, gloss black roof rails, an aerodynamic kit, and 19-inch y-spoke bi-color wheels in 19-inch diameters.

Interior Design

The inside of the BMW X3 has been redesigned for 2024. Everything about the center console is brand new, and it comes straight from the BMW 4 Series car. The rest of the cabin is carried over from the previous model. There are a lot of generic German materials used. Just enough to keep the cabin nice and functional without becoming overbearing. There’s nothing negative to say about the product’s build quality. Thanks to the leather steering wheel, the paddle shifters are easy to reach.

In addition to being comfy and well-cushioned, the seats have synthetic leather covers. Comfortable front seats are further enhanced by 10-way power bolstered seats. It can add creature conveniences such as heated seats and a heated steering wheel. Six-footers will have plenty of head and legroom in the front of the vehicle. Two adults can sit comfortably in the second row because of the ample legroom.

At the center of the dash is a 10.25-inch iDrive 7 touchscreen. This year’s model features a 12.3-inch screen option. It has a built-in GPS with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. I can’t recommend it enough. The touchscreen is lightning-fast, and the visuals are vibrant. It’s easy to use because the menu structure is sensibly laid out. This year, specific physical controls have been relocated.

2024 BMW X3 Engine

The 2.0L turbo inline-4 engine of the 2024 BMW X3 produces 248 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. Power can be routed to the rear wheels or all four with the xDrive AWD powertrain, which is available as an option along with the 8-speed automatic transmission. A crossover has a towing capacity of 4,400 pounds with the optional towing package. When you get behind the wheel of the X3, you can’t help but smile. The X3 has a sporty feel about it when it comes to cornering, and it’s easy to tell.

In fast, tight turns, the AWD system keeps it steady. Even with the stock suspension, rough roads are smoothed down, and the ride is agreeable. BMW boasts that the X3 can go from 0-60 mph in six seconds. It can reach a top speed of 130 miles per hour after covering the quarter-mile in 14.9 seconds. To maintain torque, the gearbox does an excellent job at retaining gears. The X3’s brakes, like its performance on the road, inspire confidence.
